The full moon sure looks funny tonight. At first glance it seems to be hanging right over my car. On second glance-oops! It’s not the moon at all but one of the romantic, old-fashioned street lights in our area!
On second thought it would have been quite scary to it had been the moon. After all, God set it in place centuries ago and its placement hasn’t changed.
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place… (Psalm 8:3, NIV)
Then we can rest content for as Robert Browning said, “The year’s at the spring, And day’s at the morn; Morning’s at seven; The hill-side’s dew-pearled; The lark’s on the wing; The snail’s on the thorn; God’s in His heaven— All’s right with the world!
Prayer – Father God, we thank you that you are in charge and we can trust you to stay that way. Amen
