Yes you. Are you speaking a lot about self care but blabbing into air because you aren’t doing what you preach?
Take a look at these subtle hints about exercise…some of them even from scripture!
God likes to walk (Genesis 3:8) and commands us to walk (Deuteronomy 8:6).
He suggests we wear sensible clothing when we walk (1 Samuel 17:39).
Jesus spent a lot of time walking (Matthew 4:18, 14:25-26, Mark 6:48-49).
Walking signifies healing (Matthew 15:31, Acts 3:8).
It is part of believing (Luke 9:5).
And it makes God happy when we do (3 John 1:4).
“A bear, however hard he tries, grows tubby without exercise.” A.A. Milne
God only gave us one body. Care for it so that you can care for others. If we don’t care for it, how will we be able to care for others?
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking… (3 John 1:4a, NIV).
Prayer-Lord, thank you that even our walking gives you joy!!
