A woman just leaving Bible study was accosted by a man who jumped into her car. She knew that she was to pray for God’s protection but she couldn’t remember Psalm 91:4, which the class had just studied. She screamed what she could remember. FEATHERS, FEATHERS, FEATHERS! The man said, Lady, you are crazy and he jumped out of the car!
This is the verse:
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. (Psalm 91:4)
Another woman returned home to find a robber in the midst of stealing her jewelry. She screamed the only thing she could think of at the time. “‘Stop! Acts 2:38”
The thief raised his arms in surrender and she called the police. The confused officer asked the burglar why he’d stood still for a bit of scripture. “Scripture, he cried. “She had an axe and two 38’s!”
Knowing scripture can save your life!
But the Comforter (Counsellor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. (John 14:26, AMP)
Prayer- Lord, thank you for your gift of the Holy Spirit who translates on our behalf. Amen.
