My friend Ramona Furst has a way with words. When I asked for prayer, she responded this way.
“I'm going out for a little bit. You'll accompany me on my errands and my pastoral visits as I pray. So, remember God's in the driver's seat, even though there's me looking like I am in the car.” Hugs, Ramona.
I really appreciate someone who speaks my language, don’t you? I think God does too because His words are always clear and unmistakeable.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.(John 13:34, NIV)
Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. (Romans 12:10, NIV)
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. (Galatians 5:13, NIV)
Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. (1 Thessalonians 4:9, NIV)
Well then, I guess we’d better LOVE ONE ANOTHER!
Prayer: Lord God, Help us to recognize your love for us and pass it on to others. Amen.
