Edward the seventh took issue with the way his sons pressed their pants. Edward favoured the forever old side-to-side but the sons added the fashionable front press, the kind we wear now.
Dad argues that a son’s hair is too long. A mother doesn’t like a daughter’s something or other.
One likes the president/premier/ whoever. A neighbor dislikes all of them.
I don’t believe it is the hair or the pants or the president. There are deeper issues about control lingering under the surface.
What ridiculous arguments are you involved in right now? What silly time wasting discussions take our attention away from our walk with Christ?
The devil must be delighted. We should be ashamed. ( Hint- toilet paper!)
Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. (2 Timothy 2:23, NIV)
Prayer- God, forgive us for falling for the devil’s wiles yet again. Turn us around Lord, to face you and your truths instead. Amen.
