God’s Valentine

John 3:16: For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. (NASB)

The Heart of God

Valentines of the world are fickle.
They dwell on external things
Like chocolate, lace, flowers
And expensive diamond rings.
The heart of God pours ever out
The blood for which Christ died.
He yearns to lavish that love on us
And be our “forever” guide.
He pours out this attending love.
His hope is ever thus—
That we would sense this God of Grace
And ask Him to belong to us.
