When you walk through a storm hold your head up high and don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm is a golden sky and the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on through the wind, walk on through the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on walk on with hope in your heart and you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk alone
This is the wedding song I choose.Somehow I recognized even then, that all would be well if only I was with my Ron. We had storms and dark and wind and rain and broken dreams but we never walked alone.
So last night I was thinking how that song still comforts me. Then this morning, I clicked on a website and immediately the song sprung up in my ears. What a gift from God!
Why do you think hundreds of artists recorded this song? Because Rogers and Hammerstein got it right. Even when your earthly self is alone…you are never ever really alone.
God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5b, NIV)
Prayer- Oh Lord, may we be strong and courageous. May we never be afraid or terrified because you, our Lord, our God goes with us. We trust your promise to never leave us nor forsake us! Three cheers for you, God! Amen.
